Hi, it’s so nice to meet you! I’m Zaina :) I’m a student at UC Berkeley majoring in Computer Science and receiving the Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation as a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar and STEM Excellence for Equity and Diversity Honors Scholar.

I’m interested in the intersection between Human-Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence, both fields I worked with as an AI Research Intern this past summer 2021 at the University of South California. My poster abstract was published at the IEEE REUNS 2021 Conference. I’ve also developed my coding skills as a Software Engineering Intern at ExoAnalytic Solutions during Summer 2020 and as a Project Developer for PlexTech.

As a women in STEM, I recognize the disparities present within computer science. As President of FEMTech at Berkeley, I advocate for women and minorities in the tech industry by hosting presentations and events.

In my free time, you’ll find me running, photographing the prettiest sunsets, and experimenting with different fashion pieces.
